Today, a new version of Axon Framework was released: 1.4. Compared to version 1.3 there are a few minor bugfixes and some new features.
Unlike the previous versions, Axon 1.4 contains support for Quartz 2 by default. Quartz 1 support is available by adding a dependency to the axon-quartz1 module. The QuartzEventSchedulerFactoryBean will automatically detect the Quartz version and will wire the beans accordingly.
Another feature is the AsynchronousCommandBus, which runs incoming commands asynchronously from the calling thread. It uses an Executor to process the tasks, using a CachingThreadPool by default.
